    • 1/2 purple onion chopped
    • 2 cloves garlic minced
    • dash ketchup
    • dash mustard
    • 1/2 - 3/4 cup oatmeal
    • 1/4 - 1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
    • Garlic salt
    • Lemon pepper
    • Basil
    • Oregano
    Sauce:
    • 12 oz canned tomatoes - pureed
    • 1 package Lawry's Spaghetti sauce mix
    • 1 can tomato paste
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1/2 purple onion, chopped
    • Garlic Salt
    • Lemon Pepper
    • Oregano
    • Fresh or Dried Basil
Directions:
Mix all meatball ingredients and form into small (1 inch) balls). Place on a cookie sheet in oven at 350 degrees.

Cook for 10 minutes, turn and cook for 10 more minutes.

Meanwhile saute garlic and onion in some oil. Add tomatoes, 1/2 cup water, tomato paste, seasoning packet, and other seasonings. Simmer while meatballs are cooking stirring occasionally.

When meatballs are done add to sauce and simmer for at least 30 minutes, 1 hour is better.

Serve over spaghetti with parmesean cheese.

Author Comments:
The longer the sauce simmers, the better the flavor. I recommend at least 1 hour, but in a rush 30 minutes will do.

I like using the Quaker quick 1-min oatmeal because it has smaller oats and therfore a finer texture.
